D&H CARES DONATES 21 TVs & MOUNTS TO HERSHEY RONALD McDONALD HOUSE RENOVATION

- To Aid in the Revitalization of this National Charity's Hershey Location, D&H Distributing Purchased & Donated TVs to Outfit the House's East Wing Bedrooms -

HARRISBURG, PA - February 12, 2020 - D&H Distributing, a national technology provider and one of Harrisburg's largest employers, announces that its "D&H Cares" charity foundation has contributed to the renovation of The Ronald McDonald House® in Hershey PA, donating 21 new flat-screen television sets and wall mounts. D&H purchased the 32-inch televisions and mounts from its manufacturer partners Samsung and Manhattan, respectively, and provided the units to the house in early February. Once the renovation is completed, 21 bedrooms in the house will receive new flooring, paint, window treatments, furniture, artwork, lighting, and bathroom fixtures. D&H provided TVs to outfit all the bedrooms in the East Wing of the house.

D&H Cares is a staff-run charitable organization through which D&H's employee co-owners give back to the community, involving personnel in different charity activities each quarter. The foundation has participated in local and national initiatives to benefit Habitat for Humanity, Shriners Hospitals for Children, The March of Dimes, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, The Humane Society of Harrisburg, the Special Olympics, and many more.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central PA provides accommodations and services for families of seriously ill and injured children undergoing treatment at Penn State Children's Hospital, serving as a "home away from home" during the patients' stays. D&H Distributing has been involved in other activities in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, including the donation of food, video games, equipment, notebook computers, cameras, and other items; plus involvement in fundraisers such as the organization's golf outing and annual gala events.

Our dedicated team has conducted local volunteer efforts through D&H Cares for more than a decade, including for Ronald McDonald House," said D&H Co-president Dan Schwab, who was instrumental in arranging the donation. "This community has been our home for 70-plus years. We're grateful the Harrisburg area could provide such a strong foundation for our success and growth. D&H anticipates a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Hershey Ronald McDonald House, and we're excited to contribute to its renovation."

This contribution comes on the heels of D&H's November donation of more than 580 surplus items to the Harrisburg School District, including furniture, monitors, whiteboards, and other equipment and technology, after the distributor moved to its new headquarters on Tech Drive. The majority of those donated products are being used at Harrisburg High School, SciTech Campus, a STEM-oriented magnet school.
