— Expanding its "ProAV" Offerings Beyond Digital Signage, the Distributor Adds Resources Such as Training, Installation Services, Digital Content Creation, and Industry-Certified Specialists  —

HARRISBURG, PA - February 25, 2019 - D&H Distributing, a major provider of SMB and consumer technologies to the North American high-tech channel, announces the launch of a roster of ProAV resources for SMB VARs and MSPs, supporting the creation and sale of digital signage, unified communication, collaboration video walls, and audio/visual solutions. In addition to offering a broad range of ProAV hardware and applications, the company will also provide services such as content creation, cloud-based services, and installation services to support a variety of verticals. Applications can address customer projects in areas ranging from boardrooms, huddle rooms and classrooms; to retail, healthcare, and hospitality environments.

The distributor has made notable investments in its ProAV and collaboration offering, including the establishment of a dedicated team of certified specialists. The ProAV Solutions Team boasts InfoComm CTS and other industry certifications from vendors such as Atlona, Clearone, Epson, Plantronics, and Revolabs. Leading D'H ProAV manufacturer partners include Actiontec, ATEN, C2G, Chief, CyberPower, Da-Lite, Gefen, IOGEAR, LG, Logitech, NEC, Plantronics, Samsung, Tripp Lite, ViewSonic, and more.

To further expand and lead this high growth segment, D&H has hired industry veteran Peter Hurley to the newly-created position of Director - ProAV Business Unit. Peter is a seasoned and respected technology channel executive who has held leadership roles at Stampede Presentation Products, Cable & Wireless, Sharp Electronics, and Unisys Federal, during his 28 years in our industry, in addition to considerable experience in channel distribution.

"What we're classifying as ProAV goes well beyond hardware sales of digital signage or projector products," said Hurley. "As the marketplace continues its digital transformation, ProAV has begun to extend to vital new areas, becoming a more critical component of the greater networking ecosystem that supports these modern business environments. Our goal is to build well-aligned collaboration offerings by engaging D&H's already established high growth business units focused on Cisco, HP, Intel, Lenovo, and Microsoft Cloud solutions. This will allow our VARs to impact and close a greater number of ProAV, end-point, networking and collaboration projects."

D&H's ProAV initiative falls under the auspices of its Solutions and Services program, which delivers end-to-end enablement resources to MSPs and VARs selling into the SMB sector. This assortment of services is designed to enhance the capabilities of these resellers, empowering them to take on more AV-related deployments such as signage, interactive touch displays, LED and LCD video wall configurations, huddle rooms, and projection-mapping.

Mobilizing Resources for Success

D&H has assembled various training-based resources for its MSP and VAR customers. Its "2019 Technology Conference: West Coast" will include a focus on ProAV solutions, including live examples of large-scale digital signage displays with customized messaging throughout the show (which takes place on March 28 in the City of Industry, California). The distributor will offer a D&H Solutions Lab ProAV webcast, in addition to support for partner-based certification programs in association with AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) and other AV industry organizations.

Customers can currently access on-demand streaming sessions on dandh.com, including a presentation regarding video and UC collaboration from Logitech. ProAV will also be a major focus of the company's upcoming "Solutions Roadshow" series of trainings in cities across the US, which will run from March until November.

D&H will offer consultation-based services such as content development for digital signage, installation services, and Bill of Material reviews. Such offerings will help MSPs and VARs make a successful entrance into this market niche even if their core expertise leans toward areas such as networking and IT. For those integrators already familiar with the ProAV market, D&H will serve as a source of education, sophisticated solutions, dependable inventory, and flexible credit provision, to help them close more profitable projects.

"We're able to deliver the acumen, services, solutions, and training our customers need to create, configure, and implement their projects. Our support will help our resellers expand their addressable markets and create new, profitable revenue streams," added Hurley. "I'm thrilled to have joined D&H to enhance our partner relationships, drive business, and help our resellers develop the cross-market expertise to capitalize on the trend."

Driving Modern Communications Through ProAV

ProAV is becoming a more prevalent element of the business communications network. Customized content can help businesses in respective vertical markets communicate time-sensitive retail sales, mass transit schedules, the status of surgical patients, or directions to storefronts and conference areas. Solution providers can offer turn-key collaborative platforms to accommodate everything from long-distance learning systems, to inter-office communications capabilities, to long-term digital content programs.

In the workplace, the capabilities of these new, interactive tools are changing the way that employees, customers, and partners interact and produce.

"Contemporary businesses are becoming increasingly digital in how they implement their procedures, disseminate their messages, and interact both internally and with the public. MSPs and VARs come into these environments with varying levels of proficiency in digital signage, audio, and unified communications," said Peter DiMarco, vice president of VAR sales at D&H, who oversees the Solutions & Services initiative. "Some VARs have greater strengths in networking, some in telecom, and some in audio visual. We've built a structured set of resources to guide our customers no matter what their core skills are. We're excited to have Peter Hurley on board to spearhead this business, supporting our solution providers as they explore these new opportunities."

D&H is a member of both AVIXA and the Digital Signage Federation. Customers can contact their representatives at (800) 340-1001, ProAV@DandH.com or by visiting www.dandh.com/proav for more information. D'H MSPs and VARs can stream new and existing webcast content at www.dandh.com/solutionslab.
